How Scroll works
Press ⌘; from any tab. Search, bookmark, and ask questions across your ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini conversations.
First time?
Scroll indexes your conversations as you visit them. It won’t have everything on day one — your chats build up as you use ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini normally. Give it a few days.
Search across everything
Open the palette and start typing. Scroll searches all three providers at once — titles, content, fuzzy matching. Results show where each chat came from and how recent it is.
Premium includes semantic search: find conversations by meaning, not just keywords.
Bookmark conversations
Press ⌘⇧; or click the cloud icon in the sidebar. Local bookmarks are free and unlimited. Cloud bookmarks sync across devices with a premium account.
Ask your Library
Type ? then a question. Scroll answers using your saved conversations, with citations back to the source chats.
Free: 5 asks per day. Premium: unlimited.
Ask a provider
Type @ to send a prompt directly to any provider, or @All to broadcast to every provider at once. Each opens a new chat.
Use as Context
Found a relevant past conversation? Inject it into your current chat. Three formats: title summary, AI-generated key context, or the full transcript.
Export and copy
Copy individual turns, full conversations, or export clean formatted versions. One click, no reformatting.

Privacy
Scroll is local-first. Your conversations are stored in your browser’s local database. Nothing leaves your device unless you opt into cloud features.
Local storage
All chat data stays in your browser. Search runs on your machine.
Cloud bookmarks
Encrypted at rest. Only enabled if you create an account and choose to sync.
Semantic search
Sends a query embedding, not your chat content.
Ask your Library
Sends relevant excerpts to OpenAI only when you trigger it with ?
Your data
We don’t train on it. Uninstall removes local data. Delete your account removes cloud data.
